Meet Kate! She's one of the owners of Pynes House and a guiding force behind so much of what happens here.

Kate helped bring the house back to life before opening its doors for weddings twelve years ago, drawn not only by its beauty and history, but by its very special atmosphere - welcoming, relaxed and full of character.

Today, Kate has a hand in almost everything! From welcoming couples and looking after guests, to quietly directing things behind the scenes, she makes sure the house feels loved, lived-in and beautifully cared for. Calm, focused and impeccably organised (always with a smile), she keeps the experience feeling effortless, from those first steps into the hallway to the final goodbyes.

When she’s not at Pynes House, you’ll often find her trail running across the Devon fields and moors she loves so much.

Meet Heather! Heather is one of the Owners and Directors of Pynes House, and her role focuses on the parts of the business that shape how Pynes looks, feels and grows.

Her work spans guest experience, storytelling, marketing direction and team culture, ensuring the venue continues to attract couples, partners and opportunities that feel aligned with the spirit of the house.

From shaping how Pynes presents itself online, to refining the guest journey, to crafting the small, thoughtful touches that make people feel truly seen, Heather helps guide the emotional tone of the entire experience.

Within the team, Heather champions a culture of kindness, generosity and “give them the pickle” hospitality - a belief that the smallest gestures can change the whole feel of a wedding weekend. She works closely with Phoebe and the wider team to embed practices that create ease, clarity and delight for couples from first enquiry to final goodbye.

A little about Heather:
Heather draws inspiration from her transatlantic life and American heritage, her love of storytelling, and a lifelong fascination with how places make people feel.
