You may have spotted our recent blog post all about “The Bridal Suite & Accommodation at Pynes House. In our latest instalment in the ‘Everything You Need To Know About Pynes House‘ blog series, we will be walking you through the various ceremony options available at our stunning country house wedding venue. From the Morning Room to the Ballroom, you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the perfect space for you to exchange your vows. So, let’s get started…
Your Wedding Ceremony in The Drawing Room
Elegant, refined and utterly sophisticated, The Drawing Room is the most popular option with our couples at Pynes House. With the capacity to host up to 95 guests, you can marry in front of the balcony overlooking the beautiful rose terrace or in front of the grandeur of the mantelpiece. If you do choose to marry in front of the windows, you can walk straight down the stairs past our magnificent stained-glass window to the aisle, offering a spectacular bridal entrance.
Your Wedding Ceremony in The Ballroom
A wonderful option for larger weddings, The Ballroom can host up to 130 guests. Our couples tend to combine this ceremony option with a marquee wedding reception on the lawn, making the most of the incredible space at Pynes House. This undeniably chic room boasts two walls of windows, offering lots of light and breath-taking views across the gardens and rose terrace. The Ballroom features elegant, neutral décor as well as chandeliers, gilded mirrors and two fireplaces.
Your Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Pynes House
Have you always dreamt of saying, ‘I do’ surrounded by picturesque views and stunning gardens? Then our licensed outdoor ceremony option at Pynes House can turn that into a reality for you. You can exchange your vows at the top of the entrance doors, while your guests will be seated on the front courtyard. The backdrop will be the rolling hills of the Devonshire countryside – the perfect start to married life, don’t you think? If you want a ceremony space that’s dramatic and intimate with a dash of quirk, look no further than the Entrance Hall. Both options are licensed for legal ceremonies.
We also have various other outdoor options that are not licensed and you will be required to have your legal ceremony elsewhere. Couples opt to do this so that they have the freedom to have the ceremony that they have always wanted, without being restricted by the legal requirements of a formal ceremony. This is a lovely relaxed option for you both to enjoy. Choose from the lawns, terraces and the woodland.
Your Wedding Ceremony in The Morning Room
What could be more romantic than an elopement wedding? The Morning Room offers an intimate space for your wedding ceremony, where you can be joined by up to 25 of your closest friends and family. You can marry in front of the mantelpiece, which is particularly charming in the Winter when the fire is roaring and the room is oh-so-cosy.
