We’re so excited feature Abi and Theo’s stylish autumn country house wedding on the blog this week. From the eye-catching asymmetrical floral displays to their earthy colour palette of warm, neutral tones, it was a pretty gorgeous day. Abi and Theo also chose to have their ceremony start a little later in order to spend a slower Saturday morning, which was a really lovely touch. Abi & Theo on their Autumn Country House Wedding…

From the moment we had our virtual viewing, we knew that Pynes House was the place we wanted to say ‘I Do’ and spend the weekend celebrating with our friends and family. We knew it was the one for us and decided not to view any other venues! There are just so many things about Pynes that are extra special; the incredible statement driveway, the entrance staircase, the intimate ceremony space, the whole interior design, the super comfy bedrooms, the gardens and surrounding grounds – we could keep going!
The Outfits…
Abi wore a dress designed and lovingly handmade by her best friend Sophie Rose Bridal. Our bridesmaids wore a mix of ASOS, Azazie and Sophie Rose Bridal. The Groom and Groomsman wore suits from Hire 5.
The Autumn Country House Wedding Look…
We went for an earthy colour palette with warm, neutral tones and a pop of muted blues.
The super talented Holly Bee Flowers produced the most insane floral displays – we gave a short brief and left the rest to her! We had asymmetric freestanding arrangements for the ceremony and bud vases and low bowls for the wedding breakfast.

“Anyone planning a wedding will want to make sure their guests are well catered for but you’re not going to please everyone. The more opinions you get, the more confusing things may become. Your guests will be so honoured and happy to be there, and will have a great time regardless. It’s your day so you do you!”

The Day..
We arrived at the venue on the Friday afternoon, for a relaxing and super chilled evening with our closest family and friends. We had a slow Saturday morning with Theo and his groomsman going for a run around the grounds and surrounding area of the venue.
Our ceremony was at 2PM, followed by drinks and canapés. We did the speeches before our wedding breakfast was served. Cake cutting and first dance were a little later on, and from that moment we danced the night away!

The Food & Entertainment…
We had the wonderful Pickle Shack cater for our special day. For our wedding breakfast, we went for slightly more informal, interactive options: sharing boards of charcuterie to start, followed by rump of beef with chunky chips and the most insane minted pea & truffle salad, and sharing boards of chocolate brownie, mini eclairs, and lemon posset to finish. To top it off, we had stone baked pizzas for the evening. YUM YUM!
We booked the incredible band, The Wild Cards, for our evening reception – they are fab and kept the dance floor alive all night!

Most Memorable Moment…
So many wonderful memories were created from the day that will be treasured forever – too many to name! But the one thing we loved most was celebrating our special occasion with those than mean the most to us!
Something to Add…
Just remember that this is your special day. The day itself can be overwhelming but enjoy every minute – take five minutes away from your guests to soak it all in, just the two of you.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you thank you thank you for being part of the best day of our lives!
