Our Most Popular Wedding Breakfast Location – The Ballroom…
Elegant, light and spacious, the Ballroom at Pynes House seats up to 96 people. Featuring a neutral palette, the Ballroom provides a blank canvas for you to style your wedding breakfast to suit your theme or colour palette. We adore seeing how our couples have chosen to decorate the Ballroom for their wedding breakfast, from the centrepieces down to the seating plan. Whether you’re after a minimalist look which compliments the natural beauty of the room, or something more decadent with abundant florals and candlelight, the choices are yours. We’ve included some wedding breakfast décor inspiration images from a recent stylish minimalist wedding just below…

The Wedding Breakfast – Layouts and Logistics…
When it comes to layouts, the expansive size of our Ballroom lends itself to a variety of different table formations. While many of our couples opt for round tables laid out down the room, long banquet tables running down the length of the room to the head table with a backdrop of our ancient magnolia tree have also become increasingly popular in recent years. These layouts have also proved popular for marquee wedding breakfasts (have a look at a recent marquee wedding breakfast layout in the second image gallery below). A sweetheart table layout with the newlyweds on their own table, surrounded by their friends and family, can also be a beautiful look – have a look at this guide to sweetheart wedding breakfast tables, for more…

The Food and Drink…
When it comes to the wedding breakfast, it would only be right to mention our talented and award-winning exclusive caterers, Pickle Shack. With a team of Michelin-trained chefs and a strong commitment to supporting local, independent suppliers, Pickle Shack offers a range of dining options to suit every couple. Whether you’re envisioning an elegant three-course wedding breakfast or a vibrant sharing feast, Pickle Shack has something for everyone. See some images from their incredible creations for Susan and Jack’s wedding in the gallery below…
“Pickle Shack were absolutely incredible caterers, who were a joy to work with from start to finish. They allowed us to design a bespoke menu and couldn’t have been more accommodating of dietary requirements, making gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan versions of all of our courses. They even allowed the Maid of Honour to have an adult sized children’s pudding as she doesn’t like tiramisu!”

“Pickle Shack worked with us to create an incredible menu. We gave our guests the choice of three starters – salad of white crab, crab bisque, seaweed cracker and lovage oil, traditional duck liver parfait, or a carrot terrine – each one was as good as the other. We then had a mini ode to Belgium with beef fillet steak & frites with peppercorn sauce being our mains or cauliflower steak & frites for vegetarians; it was just fantastic. For dessert, we did sharing platters of vanilla meringues, salted caramel eclairs, lemon posset, roasted apple and blackberry tarts, whipped vanilla mascarpone and seasonal berries. Everything was just magnificent”
