Pynes House is an exclusive use, luxury wedding venue in Devon, with accommodation in our 12 luxury on-site bedrooms. With our stunning grounds and gardens, it can be difficult to choose which month you might like to get married! Here we take you on a journey through seasons of the year with us – we show you the house and grounds through real wedding photography so you can see what the surrounds may look like for your chosen month. We love everything from the cosy twinkling insides with the bare structured trees, through to the abundant colours and fragrances of summer roses and lavender.

At Pynes House, every season paints the estate in a new palette of colour, texture and atmosphere. From the soft buds of early spring to the warm glow of summer, the rich rusts of autumn and the snow-kissed lawns of winter (if we’re lucky!), the beauty of this historic country house wedding venue in Devon flourishes all year round. Whether you’re dreaming of a spring celebration in the gardens or a golden autumn day, seeing Pynes House through the seasons helps couples imagine their wedding here at any time of year.

Located in the beautiful Exe Valley, only three miles from Exeter, Pynes House stands as one of the most romantic and flexible venues for weddings in the South West of England. Its seasonal transformations make it a dream backdrop for couple portraits, outdoor ceremonies, garden drinks receptions and atmospheric indoor celebrations

March

The beautiful Ellie & Emilio chose a crisp spring wedding – with the daffodils and magnolia awakening the grounds with pops of yellow and pink.

“It was the most perfect day we could have wished for. All our suppliers were amazing and the day went so smoothly. We really wanted to use Pynes’s natural beauty and to have a classic yet modern wedding, which we would look back on and think ‘it’s still beautiful and dreamy!’. It was a day where everyone could eat, be merry and celebrate love. We really felt the love and couldn’t imagine not saying ‘I do’ at Pynes House.”

We got married at Pynes House in May 2025 and honestly, it was a dream from start to finish.
The house is absolutely stunning – From the moment we drove up the tree-lined driveway, we knew we had found something the venue for us! The grounds were gorgeous, and the views/house made the perfect backdrop for photos.
Having the house for the whole weekend made such a difference and made it feel really personal. It felt like we were hosting an amazing house party with our closest friends and family, which is exactly the vibe we wanted.
The bedrooms are all beautiful and waking up there the morning after with everyone was just the best.
If you’re thinking about booking Pynes House – do it. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue. It was perfect. We just want to do it all over again!!
